Mazda Miata NB crankshaft wheel

The Mazda Miata NB trigger has 4 teeth on the crankshaft, two teeth closer to each and and a 3 teeth camshaft trigger with two of the teeth close together and the third teeth on the opposite side of the camshaft wheel.

The Mazda NB trigger is a very low resolution trigger and upgrading to a more modern trigger wheel design is strongly recommended. There are various 36-1 aftermarket options available, which are supported.
